Maintaining the hull and running gear of your boat is as important as the topside. We provide a full line of services designed to maintain the underside of your boat or yacht.
Marine growth usually begins as soft slime and algae-type grass on the vessels hull, followed by hard calcareous barnacles on the running gear. Regular hull cleanings preserve your bottom paint and can alert the boat owner to potential issues with the keel, rudder, propeller, shaft or trimtabs. It also allows for regular inspections of your sacrificial anodes which are the first line of defense against galvanic corrosion. We maintain a full inventory of anodes on our service vehicles and will replace deteriorated anodes before a problem arises.
Our practice is to utilize the least aggressive means necessary to effectively remove the marine fouling from the vessel. The more aggressive a diver is while servicing a vessel, the more anti-fouling paint is scrubbed off in the process. This will result in a higher concentration of marine growth to remove during the next service and shorten the life of the current bottom paint system.
